Odd Socks Day!

We finished off our Art topic about bodies by creating pipe cleaner people! It was lots of fun!

We loved learning about the story of Jonah and the big fish in RE with Mr Purdey. Our fish were so cool!

Year 3 have started the year so well! The children have been working super hard and our classroom looks super bright and cheerful with lots of lovely artwork.

Y3 learnt how to take a pulse today as part of the Y3 contribution towards ‘Things you need to do before leaving Saint Paul’s School’. We also had a pebble party to celebrate the good behaviour of all the children in class.

Y3 have been learning about Zacchaeus and the lives that Jesus changed.

In Y3 we have been extending our understanding of multiplication, multiplying 2 digit numbers by a single digit.

Year 3 have had great fun painting fantasy castles for their calendars!

Year 3 have been studying rocks and crystals in science. We watched a video about diamonds and everyone had a close look at the different types of rocks and crystals we have in school. Then we set up a sugar crystal experiment!

Our latest Text Map

Year 3 created arrows out of clay and painted them bronze. How amazing they look!!

Year 3 have been learning about The Stone Age. This lesson was about cave painting so we looked at some examples from around the world then had a go at our own!

Year 3 loved exploring the Book Bus when it came to school! What a lot of lovely books!

Year 3 had lots of fun being archaeologists in our new topic afternoon lesson!

We have been putting counters into a place value grid for numbers up to 1000.

Year 3 have enjoyed comparing fractions in maths!

Year 3 had a fun visit to Bury exploring their town with the 5 senses - sight, sound, taste, touch and smell.

Year 3 are having fun practising their spellings by writing them on each other's back! Good luck in your test next week!

Year 3 have settled in nicely to their new class! They particularly love the new reading corner!
