Working hard on day one of Home School! #StayHomeStaySafe
Our Text Map for Our Trip to the Park Recount
Both Year 1/2 classes went on an afternoon walk to Chesham Woods. It was a very cold day so we all made sure we wrapped up well. In the woods we saw lots of trees, autumn leaves on the ground and even saw some wildlife such as squirrels and tweeting birds in the trees. During our walk we had to cross a bridge over a small stream. We really enjoyed our trip to the woods and can’t wait to write about it in our books next week :)
Check back for lots of fun soon!
Our Year 1 and Year 1/2 children recently walked to our local post office to post letters. They had a fabulous time and were an amazing advert for our school!
Year Ones have been busy making cards to say thank you to someone at home for something that they do for Mother's Day. We had a lovely 'arty'afternoon using templates to draw around leaves, scissors to cut out, and glue dots to stick things. We hope that you enjoy your cards at home!
We are reading the story Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. The children have made penguins and written penguin facts. They also had to imagine a penguin knocked on their front door and write what they would be thinking when they opened the door and saw a penguin.
Yr 1 have been playing shop in maths to consolidate their knowledge of number bonds to 10. The children had to each spend 10 pence, choosing two items from the shop that make exactly 10 pence.
Year 1 went to Hoyles Park with Year 1/2 to explore as part of our new topic about Bury!
Year 1 have been using @Numicon to understand addition in a part whole model. They are super clever!!
