COVID 19

Pupil Premium Statement

 

The Pupil Premium is funding provided to schools which is additional to main funding.  It is allocated to pupils on roll who are eligible for free school meals (FSM), a smaller amount is allocated according to the children of service families and an allocation for each pupil who has been 'Looked After' (been in care of the Local Authority) for 6 months.  In 2012, funding was extended to include pupils who had been eligible for free school meals with the past 6 years (Forever 6).

 

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for individual children within their responsibility.  However, schools are accountable for how they have spent this money, ensuring that is spent effective and has the correct impact on the education of the children who are in receipt of the fund.

 

From September 2012, the information on how the funding was spent, the impact and plans for future spending, were required to be published on the school's website.
