World Book Day 2020. What a wonderful day in school exploring The Island by Mark Jansson!

Star Factor 2020! A HUGE well done to all of our acts, and a BIG thank you to every one who helped or came along on the night.

We are very proud of our dodgeball team. We competed against 12 other schools in a league format tournament. We won more games than we lost and are really happy with our performance.

This week at school the Star Factor auditions have taken place. Here are some Year 3 and 4 children showing us what they could do! Finalists will be announced on Monday and the live final will take place on Thursday 13th February at 6pm.

EYFS and KS1 had lots of fun at their Christmas party! They even had a special visitor!

Four of our girls attended the Bury Schools's Sports Elite Cross Country Event at Goshen this week. They were a real credit to the school, showing great resiliance and stamina and even managed to run with a smile! Well done girls!

We had such a lot of fun at our Christmas Dinner yesterday!

Bury Multi-Skills Festival @ Bury Church of England High School

Summer Festival 2019! Friday 5th July was our first Summer Festival, incorporating Sports day, Class songs, craft and jumble stalls and much much more!

World Book Day 2019 We all made hats in school after reading You Must Bring A Hat by Simon Philip. Our book quiz was, as usual, a roaring success! Well done to Dahl who were our victorious house this year and to the winners of the class prizes for the best hats!

We had a fabulous day celebrating books on our Bee Day. Everyone came dressed as bees and we had so much fun completing activities about the wonderful book, Bee and Me by Alison Jay. We also had fun listening to stories and taking part in our brilliant Big Book Quiz. Well done to Hargreaves who won the quiz this year.

We had a wonderful day on Rainbow Day - lots of members of our families came into school to create Family Portraits. It was wonderful to have so many parents, grandparents, friends and family in school. And there was some wonderful artwork too!

We had SO much fun trying all sorts of foods from around the world. It was brilliant to have parents bringing food in and talking to our children about what it was. Such a lovely afternoon!

Our Year 4 & 5 children formed a choir and sang at Tesco in Bury to raise money for school. They did a fabulous job!
